A traditional two-masted dahabeya, built 2011 and fully refurbished in 2025/26. Under sail she makes almost no sound at all — the Nile the way the nineteenth-century travellers knew it, with the comforts they could only have imagined. Your transported to a simpler time, where time slows done and hardly any worry matters.

The word authentic is how you would describe every part of the boat – no in the cliché sense. Through out the boat are pictures of the family, the chef use to be the cook of our grand parents and the food is what we use to eat as kids. There is no “buffet” style dining but rather a properly set table with king Farouk’s china. The rooms are all adorned with simple comfortable Egyptian furniture and decorated with Egyptian motifs and colour schemes.

The “tender” is the tug boat that will pull your dahabeya. Nothing too fancy, but done the way we do it. The Nile is mostly calm with very few days where there is a small swell when winds pick up. The boat is unfortunately not wheel chair accessible.
