Egypt is usually sold by the kilometre: seven sites a day, dawn calls, a guide reciting dynasties at pace. It is a way of seeing everything and experiencing nothing. We do the opposite.

Our days hold two visits, occasionally three. The rest is yours, a long lunch under sail, a swim from the boat, a book on deck while the banks of the river slide past exactly as they did four thousand years ago. We plan the empty hours as carefully as the full ones, because the empty hours are where Egypt actually happens.

When you do step ashore, you step through different doors. We work through personal relationships built over decades, with families, monasteries, museum curators, craftsmen and farmers, so what you see is not a performance staged for visitors but a life you have been invited into.

Everything is private: your boat, your guide, your table, your pace. If you wake and would rather stay at anchor, we stay at anchor. The itinerary serves you; you do not serve the itinerary.

And everything is discreet. We publish no client names, photograph no guests, and speak of no journey but yours.
